DILG-NCR conducts fisheries compliance audit in Manila, Pasay, and Las Piñas

The Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) conducted the 2026 Fisheries Compliance Audit (FishCA) National Validation for the coastal cities of Manila, Pasay, and Las Piñas.

Collaborating with various agencies including the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the validation process aims to assess how local government units implement fisheries laws and policies. The initiative provides technical assistance to address compliance challenges and identifies areas for improvement in local fisheries management and coastal resource protection. Las Piñas City was recognized as the top-performing coastal local government unit in the National Capital Region during the assessment.
