Dilip Ghosh links Sagal Hussain arrest to corruption in Birbhum
Minister Dilip Ghosh has commented on the arrest of Sagal Hussain, a former bodyguard to Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal. Ghosh alleged that leaders in the Birbhum district have impoverished the region through widespread looting and corruption. He described Hussain as a handler who collected funds from cow smugglers, sand mafias, and other illegal activities.
Ghosh further noted that investigations are ongoing regarding the involvement of various government employees, including police and land department officials, in corrupt practices.
Additionally, Ghosh addressed the order for TMC MP Mahua Moitra to vacate a circuit house, suggesting her actions are attempts to gain popularity. He also defended existing provisions for women's empowerment in local governance and stated that legal measures would be taken against those who refuse to sing ‘Vande Mataram’.
