Diljit Dosanjh reschedules Delhi concert to avoid 1984 riots anniversary

Singer Diljit Dosanjh has rescheduled his Delhi concert, part of the Aura India Tour, from November 1 to October 30, 2026. The event, originally set to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, was moved following an appeal from Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney.

Sahney requested the change because November 1 marks the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The MP noted that the date holds deep significance and causes pain for the families affected by the violence. Sahney expressed gratitude to the artist for respecting the sentiments of the victims and their families, describing Dosanjh as a “true son of Punjab” for his sensitivity to the issue.
