Dilli Haat entry fee discrepancy sparks online debate

A video posted by foreign tourist Tyler Blunden has ignited an online debate regarding differential entry fees at Dilli Haat in Delhi. In the footage, Blunden highlights a ticket board showing that Indian adults pay ₹30 and children aged five to 12 pay ₹20, while foreign visitors are charged ₹100.

Blunden questioned the pricing structure, suggesting that such a discrepancy would be labeled as racism in the United Kingdom. His remarks, accompanied by the text “Racism in India?”, prompted a wide range of reactions on social media.

Many internet users defended the pricing model, arguing that similar practices exist globally. Commenters pointed to the significantly higher tuition fees charged to international students in Western nations and suggested that pricing differences often reflect variations in local disposable incomes.
