Dillon Dube to miss at least eight weeks with neck injury

Dillon Dube St. Louis Blues NHL injury neck injury San Jose Sharks

St. Louis Blues forward Dillon Dube is expected to miss at least eight weeks due to a neck injury. Blues general manager Alexander Steen announced the timeline following a game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

The injury occurred in the first period when Dube collided with Sharks forward Will Smith while pursuing a loose puck, causing Dube to fall head-first into the corner boards. Despite the impact, Dube finished the game, recording 15 shifts and scoring a shorthanded goal in a 3-2 overtime loss.

Dube, 28, is currently playing under a one-year contract with an $850,000 cap hit. He is expected to remain out of the lineup until at least early December.
