DIMAND reports 67% water usage reduction at Piraeus Port Plaza

According to DIMAND’s ESG Report 2025, the Piraeus Port Plaza has achieved a 67% reduction in water usage compared to conventional buildings. This efficiency is driven by high-performance systems in indoor spaces, resulting in an annual saving of more than 80,635 cubic meters of drinking water.

DIMAND’s LEED-certified projects show an average 40% reduction in indoor drinking water consumption and nearly a 100% reduction in water use for outdoor purposes. The company identifies water as a critical shared natural resource facing challenges from climate change.

Regarding total water withdrawal from the supply network, DIMAND reported 60 cubic meters for both 2024 and 2025, compared to 68 cubic meters in 2023. The report notes that total withdrawal equals total consumption, as the company’s activities do not involve water discharge and all withdrawn water is consumed on-site.
