Dimand to transform former Softex factory in Eleonas into office complex
Dimand, through its wholly-owned subsidiary IQ Athens, is transforming the former Softex (Athens Paper Mill) factory in Eleonas into a modern business complex. The development project, which has an estimated completion value of 189.2 million euros, covers approximately 49.3 acres.
The plan involves a total planned construction of 39,102.26 square meters. This includes the construction of three new office buildings, the reconstruction of three existing historical industrial buildings, and various electromechanical facilities. The project aims to revitalize the area by integrating modern professional spaces with the site's industrial heritage.
In July, Dimand signed a 134.7 million euro agreement with the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DEDDIE) for the sale of a portion of the property and the construction of its new central offices. This specific section covers 37,530 square meters and is expected to be delivered by 2028. The site is divided into two independent properties, one of which will serve as the new headquarters for DEDDIE, featuring renovated industrial buildings and new four-story structures.
