Italian Summer Music Festivals Spotlight Dimartino, Marcotulli and Regional Concerts
A series of cultural events unfolded across Italy in the summer of 2026. Singer‑songwriter Dimartino opened his acoustic Lunaria concert at the historic Colle dell’Infinito in Recanati, performing songs such as “L’oro del fiume” and “Non tornerò”. Pianist Rita Marcotulli presented her new album Echoes of a Reflection at a concert in Matera on 28 July, joined by a young ensemble under the VivaVerdi Multikulti banner. A tribute conference to sculptor Alik Cavaliere was held on 28 May in Verona’s Galleria d’Arte Moderna. Francesco Renga staged his “Live Estate 2026” show in Piazza Antonio Stracuzzi, Santa Teresa di Riva on 25 August. The Terre Sonore festival ran from 1 to 31 August across 21 municipalities of the Marche, featuring 83 musicians in venues from beaches to mountain sites. The Festival Città di Marino wrapped up on 29‑30 July with a Beatles tribute and a theatrical comedy. In Piedmont, the Contaminazioni festival in Frabosa Soprana attracted more than 5 000 spectators and presented 21 free concerts between 28 June and 26 July. Additional regional programmes – the Montefusco cultural‑heritage project (28 July), the Montefiore jazz night (28 July), the Salento organ recital (29 July), and the Sarzana piano duo festival (30 July) – further enriched the summer cultural calendar.
