DIMAS advances customer service and employment matching projects in Aruba

Aruba's immigration department, DIMAS, is advancing two major initiatives to improve public service and labor connectivity. Justice Minister Arthur Dowers recently met with DIMAS Director Kathleen Paskel and strategic adviser Gregory Hoogenbergen to review the progress of the DIMAS Customer Care Project.

This customer service initiative aims to make the department’s services more accessible, efficient, and responsive through a strategic plan involving specific implementation timelines and cost estimates.

Additionally, DIMAS, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has developed a new digital application under the ‘Hunta pa Progreso – Spoor 4’ program. The app is designed to match program participants with companies actively seeking employees. When a suitable match is identified, the employer can act as the participant’s guarantor. Following the current phase, officials will evaluate expanding the platform to include local job seekers and individuals already holding permits who are seeking new employment.
