Blue Owl reports Q2 profit rise and $319 billion AUM

Alternative asset manager Blue Owl announced higher second‑quarter earnings, posting adjusted distributable earnings of 22 cents per share, up from 21 cents a year earlier. Fee‑related earnings reached 25 cents per share for the quarter.

The firm’s assets under management grew 12% to $319 billion. New capital commitments totaled $7.8 billion, while private‑wealth inflows amounted to $1.7 billion, down from $4.4 billion in the same quarter last year. Blue Owl highlighted the breadth of its business beyond direct lending, including investments in data centres, infrastructure, real estate and stakes in other managers.

Co‑CEOs Doug Ostrover and Marc Lipschultz said the diversification across strategies and geographies underpins the earnings growth. In the credit platform, direct‑lending originations reached $3.6 billion with $600 million deployed. The stock was volatile after the release, slipping about 1 % in pre‑market trading.
