Dimitar Apasiev files criminal complaint against anti-corruption officials

Dimitar Apasiev, leader of the Levica party and a Member of Parliament, has filed a criminal complaint with the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Skopje against officials of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (DKSK) and the Commission itself as a legal entity.

The complaint names members of the DKSK Misdemeanor Commission—Vesna Doneva, Sevim Mustafa, Slavko Gjorgjeski, and Farie Jashari—as well as Katica Kostovska. Apasiev alleges the crimes of ‘failure to execute a court decision’ and ‘racial and other discrimination’ committed in a single criminal act.

Apasiev claims that the Commission previously engaged in direct discrimination against him based on political affiliation, which resulted in the denial of his right to participate in proceedings and his right to legal remedy. He further noted that while a three-member panel of the Administrative Court had overturned a previous decision by the Misdemeanor Commission, the members subsequently issued the same decision again.

In addition to the criminal complaint, Apasiev announced plans to file a lawsuit for damages, initiate disciplinary proceedings for non-compliance with Administrative Court mandates, and raise the issue through parliamentary questions in the Assembly.
