Dimitar Kisimov advances to second round of US Open Juniors

Bulgarian tennis player Dimitar Kisimov has advanced to the second round of the US Open Junior Championships singles competition. The 18-year-old, seeded 10th, secured a comeback victory against American wild card Safir Azam with a score of 6:7(4), 6:4, 6:2 in a match lasting two hours and seven minutes.

Kisimov is scheduled to face Emilio Camacho of Ecuador in the second round. In addition to the singles tournament, Kisimov will compete in the junior doubles event alongside his former Australian Open junior doubles champion partner, Connor Doig. Their first-round match will be against the fifth seeds, Thilo Berman and Dan Brand.
