Dimitar Kisimov competes in Masters of Eight in Chengdu

Bulgarian tennis player Dimitar Kisimov is participating in the Masters of Eight tournament in Chengdu, China, which features the top eight junior players under 18 years old. This competition is notable as the only junior tennis tournament that includes a prize fund.

Kisimov is placed in a group alongside Austrian Tilo Berman, American Keaton Hens, and German Vincent Reizach. Interestingly, Kisimov is sharing a room with his first opponent, Berman. The tournament format divides the eight participants into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals.

Kisimov faces the competition despite arriving in Chengdu without his luggage, which was lost during a transfer in Istanbul. His recent achievements include winning the junior doubles title at the Australian Open alongside South Africa's Connor Doig, winning a J300 title in Cairo, and securing his first men's World Tennis Tour singles title in Serbia.
