Dimitar Kovachevski calls for AI and data center investment

Former Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski has stated that artificial intelligence and data centers will define the future of North Macedonia’s economic and technological development. He emphasized that the nation must decide whether to build an economy based on new technologies that offer higher returns on investment and better employment opportunities for STEM graduates.

Kovachevski noted that countries must prioritize infrastructure and energy capacity to attract investment. He cited Greece as an example, mentioning that an Amazon hub in Kozani was made possible through infrastructure development rather than political protests. He argued that investors look for stability and capacity when deciding where to direct capital.
