Dimitar Macedonian School in Aerodrom to Switch to One‑Shift Schedule

Mayor Dejan Miteski of the Aerodrom municipality inspected construction work at the Dimitar Macedonian primary school in the village of Lisiche and announced that, starting 1 September, the school will adopt a single‑shift timetable. Under the new arrangement, pupils in grades 6‑9 will attend the first shift, pupils in grades 1‑3 will have full‑day classes, and those in grades 4‑5 will alternate between the first and second shifts.

The change is part of a broader effort to modernise school facilities during the summer break, improve educational quality, boost learning outcomes, and give students more time for sports, cultural and extracurricular activities. The municipality has already implemented the same one‑shift model at the Aleksandar Macedonian school, and the rollout at Dimitar Macedonian aims to standardise conditions across all primary schools in the area.
