Dimitris Alexandrou injured protecting dog from attack

Dimitris Alexandrou, a model and entrepreneur, was injured during a walk on Saturday, August 29, after intervening to protect his dog, Love, from an attack by another large dog.

Alexandrou reported via social media that an uncontrolled large dog, which he suspected might be a Pitbull or a Presa Canario, charged at his pet. In his attempt to shield his dog, Alexandrou was knocked to the ground by the force of two 50-kilogram dogs. He sustained injuries to his hip and significant swelling in his arm.

Alexandrou used the incident to urge dog owners to exercise greater responsibility, particularly when handling large or potentially dangerous breeds in public spaces. He noted that even as a 100-kilogram man, the impact was severe, and expressed concern for the safety of women or owners of smaller dogs who might encounter similar situations.
