Dimitris Kampourakis explains decision against daily television
Journalist Dimitris Kampourakis, currently with Action 24, has explained why he does not intend to return to a daily television news program. Speaking on the show ‘Protos Kafes me ti Zina’ on October 22, 2026, Kampourakis stated that he can no longer tolerate the demanding rhythms of daily broadcasting, noting that he has matured and no longer seeks such a schedule.
Regarding professional collaborations, Kampourakis mentioned he has no issue working with either men or women, despite having spent many years working alongside Giorgos Oikonomeas. He emphasized that successful partnerships require mutual acceptance of each individual's characteristics.
Addressing personal relationships within the media industry, the journalist expressed skepticism about the possibility of true friendships in journalism, paraphrasing a sentiment attributed to Roosevelt: ‘If you want a friend in Washington, buy a dog.’
