Dimitris Kokotas: Memorial service held for Greek singer

Family, friends, and colleagues gathered at the Holy Church of Panagia Eleousa in Agia Varvara on Saturday, October 3, to attend the 40-day memorial service for singer Dimitris Kokotas.

Kokotas passed away on August 25 at the age of 57 following a prolonged health struggle. His medical issues began in March 2024 after he suffered a myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest during rehearsals for ‘J2US’.

The service was attended by his widow, Katerina Petrakis, his sisters Elli and Marianna Kokota, and various figures from the artistic community, including Giorgos Lempesis and Tonia Fouseki. The memorial was announced via social media by Petrakis, inviting those who wished to pray for the deceased singer.
