Dimitris Konstantaras memorial service held in Athens

The annual memorial service for Dimitris Konstantaras was held on Sunday, August 23, at the First Cemetery of Athens. Konstantaras, a prominent journalist, author, and politician, passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 79 following serious health issues.

His son, journalist and presenter Lambros Konstantaras, attended the service alongside his mother and other family members to honor his memory. Lambros shared reflections on their relationship and their collaborative work on a book regarding their grandfather, Lambros Konstantaras.

Dimitris Konstantaras had a significant public career, including serving as a Member of Parliament for New Democracy in 2004 and as a Prefectural Councilor for Attica in 2002. He also served as a municipal councilor for the Municipality of Athens and worked as an editorial director for the World Classical Literature series at Smyrniewotaki Publications.
