KKE's Dimitris Koutsoumpas headlines 52nd KNE Festival in Ilion

The 52nd KNE ‘Odigiti’ Festival, organized by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), concluded with a major political rally at Triti Park in Ilion. The event featured a keynote speech by Dimitris Koutsoumpas, General Secretary of the KKE Central Committee.

During his address, Koutsoumpas criticized the current government and opposition, focusing on international developments, economic policies, and Greece's foreign alliances. He expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and Cuba, while reiterating the party's stance on a unified and independent Cyprus without foreign military presence. He also voiced opposition to NATO and the strategic relationship between Greece and Israel, arguing these do not ensure national security.

In a separate event during the festival, Koutsoumpas spoke regarding the rights of soldiers and officers, accusing the government of sending military personnel into conflict zones in the Middle East and North Africa to serve the interests of the arms industry and shipping magnates.

The festival, which spanned several days and locations across Greece, included cultural activities, musical performances, and discussions involving international youth representatives.
