Dimitris Koutsoumpas demands immediate wage and pension increases
Dimitris Koutsoumpas, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), has called for immediate increases in wages and pensions.
Speaking at a labor union rally held at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), Koutsoumpas described the demand for higher income as a ‘popular requirement.’ He criticized the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the political opposition, accusing them of failing to address the cost of living, high taxation, and the commodification of health and education.
Koutsoumpas further alleged that the government is spending billions on military budgets and imperialist plans instead of supporting the Greek people during economic hardship.
