Dimitris Panopoulos discusses his exit from Greek broadcaster ANT1

Greek journalist and presenter Dimitris Panopoulos appeared on the OPEN show "Ψυχαγωγία Κυριακάτικα" with host Thanasis Patra. He explained that his decision to leave ANT1 last summer stemmed from uncertainty about his role after September and a lack of concrete offers, saying, “With ANT1 there was discussion about a summer show, but for me the main thing was to know what I would do in September.”

Panopoulos added that he wanted to shift from news to entertainment, citing the need for time to adapt to a new format and mentioning a brief involvement in politics. He described the situation as “like playing Russian roulette repeatedly, always sitting on an empty seat,” and affirmed he left on good terms with the channel.
