Dimitris Ptochos proposes human-centric policy at Peloponnese Forum

During the 3rd Peloponnese Forum for Local Government held in Mistra, the Governor of Peloponnese, Dimitris Ptochos, presented a new strategic approach titled ‘A Different Logic’. The proposal advocates for shifting the focus of public policy from mere financial figures and project scales to the actual impact on citizens' daily lives.

Ptochos emphasized that public dialogue has often neglected the human element, noting that different demographics—such as students, parents, and entrepreneurs—experience reality through different needs. He argued that the true value of public interventions should be measured by their social footprint rather than just their cost.

The Governor outlined several key areas of intervention for the region, including road safety, flood protection, coastal erosion management, infrastructure upgrades, urban regeneration, digital transformation, entrepreneurship support, and public health initiatives.
