Dimitris Samolis admits past abusive behaviour in relationships
Greek singer Dimitris Samolis, who is touring Greece this summer with his project “Strakastrokes”, spoke to the magazine KLIX and the vidcast Face2Face. He discussed his recent career success, childhood trauma and his need for acceptance. Samolis said that when he is in love he feels “the sweetest person in the world”, but when he is not, he blames everything. He confessed that he had been “very abusive” in a romantic relationship, acting on autopilot without realizing it. Friends pointed out his toxicity and psychotherapy helped him understand the problem, describing the process as a long, ongoing journey. When asked about sharing the stage with Aliki Vougiouklaki, Samolis said everyone is a star, each born with a bright light, and that society’s expectations often keep people from shining.
The interview highlighted Samolis’ personal introspection and his efforts to address past harmful behaviour while continuing his musical tour across Greece.
