Dimitris Tsitsos qualifies for javelin final with personal best

Greek javelin thrower Dimitris Tsitsos has qualified for the final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. During his first appearance in a major championship, the 26-year-old athlete achieved a personal best of 80.95 meters.

Competing in the first qualifying group, Tsitsos initially recorded throws of 75.59 meters and 71.02 meters. His final attempt of 80.95 meters secured him fourth place in his group and guaranteed his spot in the final. He finished behind Julian Weber (84.02m), Nick Tum (83.49m), and David Wegner (82.40m).
