Dinamo Bucharest fixes bus badge mistake after fans spot wrong cup count

Romanian football club Dinamo Bucharest unveiled a newly painted team bus before the start of the season, but the side panels displayed an incorrect tally of Romanian Cup victories – the number 12 was shown instead of the actual 13 titles. Fans quickly highlighted the error on social media, prompting former Dinamo captain Giani Kiriță to mock the mishap, saying “Reconstrucția începe de la autocar”.

The club responded by repainting the bus, correcting the cup count to 13 and also displaying the 18 league titles, 2 Supercupa trophies and a Cupa Ligii. The vehicle is a second‑hand bus previously used by rival FCSB and retains the same registration number. The incident coincided with Dinamo’s extensive summer transfer activity, with several new players arriving and a number of departures.

Supporters praised the updated look, posting comments such as “Așa da, arată excepțional!” and “S‑a găsit Cupa pierdută”.
