Dinamo and CFR Cluj draw 2-2 in Superliga clash

Dinamo București maintained their position at the top of the Superliga following a dramatic 2-2 draw against CFR Cluj. CFR Cluj held a 2-0 lead late in the match through goals from Andrei Cordea and Cristian Ignat, but Dinamo staged a rapid comeback in the final minutes. Cătălin Cîrjan scored in the 78th minute, followed by a header from Dean Zandbergen in the 81st minute to secure the point for the visitors.

The match has sparked significant tension between the two clubs. CFR Cluj manager Marius Șumudică criticized the league's scheduling, noting that his team must play three matches in six days. He suggested he might field junior players in the upcoming Romanian Cup match against Universitatea Cluj to prioritize the league. CFR Cluj owner Neluțu Varga also expressed frustration, calling the scheduling a “mockery” that disadvantages his club.

Following the result, Dinamo manager Nuno Campos compared his team's performance to Barcelona due to their high possession and passing volume, a claim Șumudică dismissed as exaggerated. Meanwhile, Dinamo faces internal medical concerns as midfielder Andrei Mărginean is uncertain for upcoming fixtures due to hip pain, and players Alex Musi and George Pușcaș continue their recovery from surgery.
