Dinamo striker Oliver Hintsa called up to Eritrea national team

Dinamo București striker Oliver Hintsa has been called up to the Eritrea national team for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. This marks a return to official international competition for Hintsa after an approximately seven-year hiatus.

Hintsa, who joined Dinamo this summer, has made a strong impact with seven official appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His recent performance in the Cupa României, where he scored in a 4-1 victory against Sporting Liești, contributed to his selection by coach Hesham Yakan.

Eritrea is placed in Group D for the qualifiers, with upcoming matches scheduled against Kenya on September 23 and South Africa on September 27, as well as Guinea. The national team is returning to competitive play following a long period of inactivity since September 2019.
