Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split secure millions in UEFA prize money

Croatian football clubs have secured significant guaranteed revenue through their participation in upcoming UEFA club competitions. Dinamo Zagreb, competing in the Europa League, is set to earn a minimum of 14.9 million euros. This figure includes starting fees, club coefficients from the last five and ten years, and television market rankings. While substantial, this amount is lower than what the club could have earned had they progressed to the Champions League by defeating Viking.

Hajduk Split, participating in the Conference League, has guaranteed a minimum of 5.2 million euros. Both clubs have the potential to increase these earnings through match results, ticket sales, and merchandise. For instance, in the Europa League, Dinamo can earn 450,000 euros per win and 150,000 euros per draw, with additional bonuses for advancing to later stages of the tournament.

Other Croatian representatives also secured smaller amounts following their exits from European competition. Rijeka is slated to receive 1.3 million euros after being eliminated in the Conference League play-offs, while Varaždin will receive 0.5 million euros for their participation in the second qualifying round.
