Dinamo Zagreb eyes Bennacer stay as Milan decides his future

Algerian midfielder Ismaël Bennacer, on loan from Italy's AC Milan to Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb, could remain in Zagreb, but the club will not trigger the €10 million buy‑out clause. President Zvonimir Boban said Dinamo wants to keep the player only if he first resolves his contract with Milan, adding that the club would not pay any fee.

Bennacer has made 19 appearances for Dinamo this season and his loan runs until June 2026. He still has one year left on a €4 million net‑salary contract with Milan and has not featured for the Rossoneri since a derby on 2 February 2025. Milan is evaluating a sale to generate profit, noting the player's book value is now fully amortised.
