Dinamo Zagreb leads European clubs in domestic player representation

Dinamo Zagreb has emerged as one of the few European clubs prioritizing domestic talent. According to UEFA competition lists, only 13 clubs across the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League have more domestic players on their A-lists than Dinamo. The Zagreb-based club features 14 Croatian players, a figure shared with clubs such as Stuttgart and Rennes. In comparison, Hajduk Split ranks 32nd among European autumn participants with 10 Croatian players on their list.

In women's football, Dinamo Zagreb has signed Jasna Đoković, the former best player of the Croatian league from Agram. The Montenegrin footballer, who has earned over 90 caps for her national team, noted a family connection to the club through her uncle, Dževad Turković. Turković is a former Dinamo player and Croatian international who played during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
