Dani Rodriguez completes transfer to Dinamo Zagreb with Barcelona buy‑back clause

Spanish winger Dani Rodriguez (20) has permanently joined Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb from FC Barcelona. The deal, confirmed in early July 2026, includes a buy‑back option for Barcelona and a future sell‑on percentage. Barcelona retained the clause as part of the agreement, and the transfer fee is reported to be around €1 million.

Rodriguez, a product of Real Sociedad’s youth system who moved to La Masia in 2020, made his first‑team debut for Barcelona in May 2025 but struggled with injuries, including a dislocated shoulder and a torn tendon. He has featured for Barcelona Atlètic and can operate on either wing, though he prefers the right side. Dinamo expect him to undergo a medical examination and sign the contract by the end of the week, viewing him as a key addition for coach Marijo Kovačević’s squad.

The transfer marks a shift from the earlier expectation of a loan with an option to buy, as Barcelona insisted on a full sale while preserving the right to re‑sign the player.
