Dinamo Zagreb's dominance leaves Croatian league without strong competition, says Miguel Olmo
Miguel Olmo, father of Spanish World Cup winner Dani Olmo, told Sportske novosti that Dinamo Zagreb was crucial in his son's development. He said the club gave Dani the platform to become a Barcelona and Spain star and praised Dinamo’s competitive spirit, noting that "Dinamo je najveći hrvatski klub, on je za mog sina sve!".
Olmo also criticised the Croatian league, arguing that other clubs cannot adequately challenge Dinamo’s dominance. He said the league "nedostaje nekoliko stvari, nijansi i detalja da sve bude još bolje, makar je i ovako Hrvatska među najboljima" and warned that greater competition would improve the quality and development of Croatian football.
