Dindigul Tahsildar orders collection of Communist Party member details

The Tahsildar of Gujiliamparai in Dindigul district, Ayyasamy, has issued a circular instructing officials to collect details regarding members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Communist Party of India within the local revenue villages.

The directive has drawn significant criticism and sparked plans for a protest led by the CPM, scheduled for the 20th in front of the Tahsildar's office. Party members claim the circular is an attempt to suppress upcoming demonstrations.

Local CPM representatives also cited a land dispute in Raupathanpatti, alleging that a member of a different community has encroached upon land intended for Scheduled Caste individuals. They claim that when they attempted to report this to the Tahsildar, they were met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior.
