Dinesh D’Souza cites biblical archaeology to defend Israel

Author and commentator Dinesh D’Souza is promoting his new book, ‘The Stones Cry Out: Biblical Archaeology, Prophecy, and the Last Days’, arguing that biblical archaeology ‘irrefutably shows the presence of the Jews in their ancient homeland.’

D’Souza’s claims arrive amid shifting public opinion in the United States. Pew Research Center data indicates declining favorability toward the Israeli government, with 62% of respondents holding unfavorable views. Additionally, the Anti-Defamation League reported that while antisemitic incidents in the U.S. saw a 33% decrease from 2024, the 6,274 recorded incidents last year remain the third-highest total since 1979.

In Ireland, the Jewish Representative Council of Ireland reported that the Herbert Park Hotel in Dublin canceled a reservation for 70 rooms intended for delegates attending an international conference on combating antisemitism. Maurice Cohen, chairman of the council, stated the hotel initially approved the booking for representatives of the 27 European Union member states before reneging after learning the purpose of the visit.
