Dinesh Sharma to become Lieutenant-Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dinesh Sharma has resigned from the Rajya Sabha to assume the role of Lieutenant-Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. His resignation was submitted to Rajya Sabha Chairman C. P. Radhakrishnan and has been accepted.

Sharma, a former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, previously held portfolios in higher education, science, and technology. He expressed his gratitude to the President, Prime Minister, and Home Minister for the appointment, pledging to serve with devotion and dedication to the Constitution and the nation.
