Dinesh Thakkar buys Juhu residential tower for ₹711 crore

Dinesh Thakkar, the founder, chairman, and managing director of Angel One, has agreed to purchase an entire residential tower in Mumbai’s Juhu area for approximately ₹711 crore. The transaction involves a G+7-storey tower within the Embassy Terrazza project on Juhu Tara Road, developed by Embassy Developments.

The residence, which Thakkar has named ‘Angelus’, features a RERA carpet area of 63,000 square feet. The deal is being described by the developer as India’s largest single residential unit transaction, representing about 24 per cent of the project’s total estimated gross development value. The purchase price equates to more than ₹1.1 lakh per square foot.

Thakkar stated that his decision to acquire the property was driven by a desire for privacy, spaciousness, and sea views to create a long-term family home. The acquisition highlights sustained demand for ultra-luxury, large-format housing in Mumbai’s prime neighborhoods.
