IKEA and CentrumRowerowe.pl to replace Carrefour in Kielce

Carrefour will close its hypermarket at Galeria Echo in Kielce at the end of October 2026 as part of a transformation plan to increase operational efficiency. The departing retailer is part of a broader trend in Poland, having closed 27 stores in the third quarter of 2026 alone.

The approximately 6,000 square meter space will be divided between two new tenants. IKEA will occupy over 3,300 square meters with a compact store format, offering interior design services, kitchen planning, and a Bistro. CentrumRowerowe.pl will take up more than 2,400 square meters to provide bicycles, parts, and accessories.

EPP Poland, the manager of Galeria Echo, stated that they plan to open a smaller supermarket on the remaining space and are currently in discussions with interested retail chains.
