Dino Polska utilizes vertical integration to control meat supply chain

Dino Polska, a major Polish retail chain, utilizes a vertically integrated business model to manage its supply chain. The company’s meat products sold by weight are supplied exclusively by Agro-Rydzyna, a meat processing and distribution company owned by the Dino Polska group. This integration allows the retailer to maintain control over production, logistics, and quality standards. Agro-Rydzyna, which has operated for over 30 years, accounts for more than 14 percent of the network's total sales revenue.

The growth of Dino has been driven by strategic investments, including a significant 2010 injection of capital from Enterprise Investors. Since its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2017, the company's value has increased substantially. Tomasz Biernacki, the founder and majority shareholder with a 51 percent stake, remains one of Poland’s wealthiest individuals, though his estimated fortune has fluctuated in recent years. As of 2024, the network operates approximately 2,000 stores across Poland.
