Dino Sinovčić wins bronze at European Para Swimming Championships

Croatian para swimmer Dino Sinovčić won a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke (S6 category) at the eighth European Para Swimming Championships held in Kocaeli, Turkey. Sinovčić completed the race with a time of 1:17.11.

Luca de Prato of Italy took the gold medal with a time of 1:15.07, while Laurent Chardard of France secured silver with 1:16.29. This marks Sinovčić's fifth medal at European championships, adding to his previous honors including gold in Dublin (2018), silvers in Madeira (2021, 2024), and bronze in Reykjavik (2009).

Sinovčić described the achievement as a “little miracle,” noting that he had faced significant health challenges earlier this year, including a heart arrhythmia that forced him to temporarily halt training. His coach, Slobodan Glavčić, noted that this is Sinovčić's eleventh consecutive medal from major international competitions.
