RC Lens signs Algerian midfielder Yacine Titraoui on €8 million deal

RC Lens announced the signing of 23‑year‑old Algerian international midfielder Yacine Titraoui from Belgian side Royal Charleroi SC. The player has agreed to a contract running until June 2031, with the transfer fee reported at €8 million plus possible bonuses. Lens sporting director Jean‑Louis Leca praised Titraoui’s technical ability, work‑rate and composure under pressure, calling him a future cornerstone for both the club and the Algerian national team.

The club also confirmed the appointment of German coach Dino Toppmöller, who arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt to replace Pierre Sage. Toppmöller emphasised an offensive philosophy, stating “I prefer winning 4‑3 to 1‑0,” and highlighted intensity and pressing as non‑negotiable elements of his approach. Both moves aim to strengthen Lens ahead of their upcoming Ligue 1 campaign and potential Champions League participation.
