Dinosaur Jr. announces 2027 tour of Australia and New Zealand

Alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. has announced a six-date tour across Australia and New Zealand scheduled for January 2027. The tour by the original trio—J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph—will celebrate the release of their thirteenth studio album, ‘There Near’.

The tour is set to begin at the Auckland Town Hall in New Zealand on January 16, 2027. The band will then travel to Australia for performances in Brisbane at Fortitude Music Hall (January 19), Sydney at the Hordern Pavilion (January 21), Melbourne at the Forum (January 23), Adelaide at Hindley Street Music Hall (January 24), and Perth at the Ice Cream Factory (January 26).

Setlists are expected to feature tracks from the new album, such as ‘Several Got Away’ and ‘Blowin’ Up’, alongside classic hits including ‘Feel The Pain’ and ‘Just Like Heaven’.
