Diocesan religious gatherings held in Portugal and Brazil

In Portugal, the Diocese of Setúbal held a Vicarial Meeting for the Almada/Caparica region on October 23. Approximately 50 representatives from 11 parish communities, including Cova da Piedade and Vila Nova de Caparica, participated in the event. The meeting focused on reflecting on the progress made following the 2021-2024 Synod and discussing the practical implementation of a missionary synodal Church.

In Brazil, the North Vicariate of the Diocese of Campos hosted its annual meeting for approximately 1,200 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion on October 24. Held at the Santa Teresinha Parish in Campos dos Goytacazes, the event included spiritual deepening and lectures. Bishop Dom Roberto Francisco Ferrería Paz presided over the closing Mass, emphasizing the role of ministers as servants to the needy and participants in the communion of the Church.
