Diocese of Acireale dedicates October 2026 to Mission Month

The Diocese of Acireale has announced that October 2026 will be dedicated to Mission Month. This initiative aims to help Christian communities rediscover their missionary vocation in preparation for the 100th World Mission Day, scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026.

The theme for the 2026 World Mission Day is “One in Christ, united in Mission!”. Don Orazio Sciacca, director of the Missio office, emphasized the importance of announcing the Gospel through authentic personal and community testimony. The diocese will host various events, including testimonies, vigils, and missionary concerts, to encourage prayer, formation, and spiritual communion among the faithful.
