Diocese of Apucarana announces transfers for 15 priests

The Diocese of Apucarana has announced a series of transfers and appointments for 15 priests across the region, including Apucarana, Arapongas, and the Ivaí Valley, effective for 2026. The changes, signed by Bishop Dom Carlos José de Oliveira, were made following consultations with the Council of Presbyters and the College of Consultors.

Key administrative changes include the appointment of Father Valdecir Ferreira as episcopal vicar for Evangelization and Father Laércio José de Lara as episcopal vicar for Patrimony, Economy, and Finance.

In Apucarana, Father Noel Ribeiro will become parish priest of Nossa Senhora do Bom Conselho, while Father Leandro Manoel de Souza will lead the Coração Eucarístico de Jesus Parish. In Arapongas, Father Paulo César Alves Rodrigues, who served in Borrazópolis for 12 years, will move to the São Francisco de Assis Parish. Other notable shifts include appointments in Ivaiporã, Lunardelli, and Cruzmaltina to reorganize pastoral missions and diocesan administration.
