Diocese of Ascoli and San Benedetto announces new priestly assignments
The Diocese of Ascoli and San Benedetto, led by Bishop Gianpiero Palmieri, has announced a series of new pastoral assignments and transfers for priests within the Piceno region to mark the start of the new pastoral year.
Key appointments include Father Enrico Matta of the Capuchin Friars, who will serve as the new chaplain at Mazzoni Hospital in Ascoli Piceno, bringing nearly two decades of experience from the Torrette Regional Hospital. In the communities of Villa Pigna and Marino del Tronto, Don Francesco Mangani has been appointed as a ‘parroco in solido’ (shared parish priest) to work alongside Don Francesco Fulvi, while Don Gianmarco Lupini transitions toward service at the Nunciature.
Additionally, due to the health status of Don Giuseppe Tanziani, who has served the Centrale di Acquasanta Terme community for over sixty years, pastoral care for that area will be entrusted to Don Amedeo Matalucci. These changes are intended to foster greater collaboration between clergy, laity, and parish organizations.
