Diocese of Goya renews commitment to synodality

The Diocese of Goya held a meeting for religious figures, deacons, priests, and the bishop to renew their commitment to synodality. The gathering focused on prayer and reflection regarding the current pastoral reality of the diocese.

Sister Mariana del Carmen González led discussions on synodal spirituality, referencing the legacy of the first bishop of Goya, Monsignor Alberto Devoto. Participants engaged in group work to discern diocesan challenges, including mental health, addiction, suicide, family values, and education.

The event also addressed the collaboration between clergy and laity, emphasizing the need to overcome clericalism and view authority as a form of service based on communal discernment and shared mission.
