Diocese of Novo Hamburgo ordains Willian Botini Mello as priest

The Diocese of Novo Hamburgo held a priestly ordination ceremony for Deacon Willian Botini Mello on Friday, the 14th, at the São João Batista Matriz Church in Parobé. The mass was presided over by Bishop Dom João Francisco Salm and attended by over a thousand faithful, as well as more than 50 priests from various regions.

During the homily, Bishop Salm reflected on the priest's chosen motto, ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness,’ and encouraged the new priest to remain close to the people. Father Willian, who underwent ten years of formation, expressed his gratitude to the community and the Diocese for their support throughout his journey.

Following the ceremony, the first public mass led by Father Willian is scheduled for Sunday, the 16th, at 10:00 AM at the São João Batista Church in Parobé.
