Diocese of Reconquista launches Diocesan Catechetical Congress

The Diocese of Reconquista has announced the liturgical launch of the Diocesan Catechetical Congress to coincide with Catechist Day. The event is scheduled for Friday the 21st at 19:30 at the Mariano Diocesano Sanctuary and the Inmaculada Concepción Cathedral in Reconquista.

Bishop Ángel José Macín issued a message to catechists, acknowledging their committed work within the parishes. He noted that the current historical and cultural context requires finding appropriate and attractive ways to communicate faith to children, adolescents, youth, and adults.

The upcoming congress is expected to last approximately one year. Its objectives include discerning future paths, evaluating necessary training and materials, examining the relationship between catechesis and the sacraments, and establishing a permanent catechetical itinerary. The theme for the congress is: ‘With his voice in the heart, we announce hope’.
