Sicily implements coastal development and educational initiatives

In Sicily, several regional initiatives are addressing coastal development, education, and financial literacy. In Trapani, the GAL della Pesca Trapanese and the Fondazione Torri e Tonnare del Litorale Trapanese are preparing to present ‘Blu Trapani 2028-2035’. This strategic proposal aims to unify the development of the province's coastline through six pillars: productive and tourist ports, widespread coastal tourism, shipbuilding and nautical sectors, the evolution of the fishing industry, smart islands, and the creation of a unified territorial brand.

Simultaneously, educational efforts are underway across the region. In Siracusa, officials from the regional school office and UniCredit met to discuss promoting financial literacy among secondary school students, focusing on savings, investments, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, regional education official Mimmo Turano is conducting a series of meetings with school principals in Trapani, Palermo, Ragusa, and Siracusa to outline investment plans for the 2026-2027 school year.
